Is there a different method of cut and buff on fiberglass than there is on steel?
This is driving me nuts. I had no problems with a door i had to respray, found a large dent after painting. But for some reason i cannot get a shine on the fiberglass hood and fenders.
PPG single stage paint
Wet sandend to 2000
Started door, fender hood wool pad, Meguires cut polish cream 86
Foam pad Meguires 205
Door came out great, at least for me but 3 tries on the fiberglass parts still a haze. Im starting to think, there is a trick to getting the fiberglass parts to polish

All I can say is nope. Never had an issue with paint on fiberglass and buffing it out.

Are you giving sufficient cure times? They might be different for glass & steel.
