Is there a difference between the offset out on the two? Or, also, what brands stick the tire out the least? Thanks John

What front end does your car have? Link pin or Ball joint? 4 Lug of wide five?

When I installed CB dropped spindles on my stock ball joint DRUM brake set-up, there was only a slight increase in track...IIRC approximately 6-8 mm per side.

However, when I installed EMPI dropped DISC spindles, this moved the wheels out 18-19 mm, which caused the stock tires to rub when turning corners. Had to switch to smaller tires (or you could use a narrowed beam).

I do not think there is any difference from VW drums to VW disks, if there is I never noticed.

Any kind of dropped spindles will end up making the track wider probably 1/2 to 3/4 inch per side.

Ok, thanks. So expect some offset and probably more with Empi.

Thanks, I saw that thread. I had built a 3" narrow beam for another project. So, I decided to use it on this car. Haven't finished the swap, yet.
