Ok so most owner's know Manx bolts to fiberglass and through fiberglass to Torsion housing. I am lookig for Do's and Donot's for bolting through fiberglass. I want to bolt on some side bars under arms and to the front and rear hoops. I have no room to go by seats. If i just sandwich two plates between fiberglass i think it will crush the fiberglass as car flexes. I could space through fiberglass and bolt solid then tab and bolt fiberglass to hoops.
My cage is already a light duty as it is unboltable from pan. Still have rear to do.
What have others done?

I don't have any pics of how I did it and the buggy is in the trailer .
I have a nerf bar bolted to the pan with 1 inch tubing front and back that comes up just under the fiberglass lip . I used U bolts to go around the roll cage thur the fiberglass and connect to the nerf bar . This stopped all the flex I had

I laminated steel tubes into the body on both sides that are longer than the space between the front and rear hoop. If something happens it should be enough to stop intrusion into the car and the car being light will bounce away from the impact

You can always use these instead of sandwich plating the fiberglass.

Look at the way the outside tubes on the Manxter's connect to the verticle inside tubes. They have a 2 bolt flange that makes the connection. I don't have a picture handy, but I am sure you can find one. Tom

That looks great. Love to see it in person at the Vintage Meet in July! Or maybe its time that I negatively affect real estate values on the peninsula and come darken your doorstep!
