So I've quit smoking and found an alternative, vaping!
It has become an addictive hobby for me the past few months. From building it (seriously, building the thing is more addictive than vaping it) to finding new flavors and making big clouds... |

The allure of smoking to many was to appear macho or sophisticated. "Vaping" just makes you look even more dependent & ridiculous. There's nothing like seeing someone trying to look cool while puffing on an electronic phallus. Make sure you carry it in your man bag when you're not driving your Prius. _________________ Everybody born before 1975 has a story, good, bad, or indifferent, about a VW.
GOFUNDYOURSELF, quit asking everyone to do it for you!
An air cooled VW will make you a hoarder.
Do something, anything, to your project every day, and you will eventually complete it. |

Trying not be too negative here so I'll just say I hope you are using it as a stepping stone to quitting completely.
If not, please research what you are sucking into your body. |
Unfortunately im transitioning from smoking to vaping... Dunno if you would believe me but I seem to breathe better with vaping, and previously strenuous exercises (such as pumping car tires with a bike pump, yes thats strenuous for me) are now a breeze...
Ive done much research which leads me to believe its not a healthy nor a safe alternative rather a "less harmful" one... |

Yeah, I must admit that im very much dependent on nicotine. But im not using it to look cool or stuff... just to satisfy my craving for "such substances" |

I truly doubt it will improve your health.
I suggest you don't put anything into your lungs than fresh air. _________________ Glenn

Sorry just another crutch to lean on while dealing with your destructive addictive personality. if you want to quit, quit. If not just think of it as death on the installment plan. _________________ Rick

If you have an addictive personality, you can always point it toward more healthy hobbies that can be addictive too - VWs... Exercise. _________________ How to Post Photos

To tell you honestly though, working on VWs are addictive!
Working on VWs get me to stop sucking on "substances" in the short while...
I work on my Toyota, smoke (or vape!). Nissan definitely vape bug? nah. probably because the bug doesnt give me as much headaches as the fairly newer cars! |

I vape and love it. Much cheaper and I have to figure it is much healthier. Can't be any worse, right? When I see people smoking I think to myself "You still do that?"
For you pot smokers out there the Volcano is the only way to go. _________________ '71 Westy |

Sure, right... you have no idea what chemicals you're inhaling. But I guess we'll find out in 20 or so years.
This guy started to vape 5 years ago and now look at him.

You do make a good point, but with tobacco there is no question as to the bad. I did research vaping a bit; it is true that it is an unstudied thing. But gut instinct and my lungs tell me vaping is much better.
I would think that with the numbers of smokers out there and the possibilities of vaping it would be studied more. Seems like a pertinent public health issue.
Vaping leaf marijuana is a little different and might even be better studied. _________________ '71 Westy
