This is actually somewhat true...but you are thinking of Ted Kennedy...and his would have worked...but he forgot to remove the "ballast"from the back seat....

That's only partly true, and due to the lifetime Secret Service protection, which only restricts their driving. But - The lifetime Secret Service protection was eliminated during President Clinton's administration, although neither of the Clintons drive, anyway. |

No that is not true. From the Secret Service Site: "Protectees include former Presidents, their spouses and minor children up to the age of 16."

I see my response was confusing because I read it wrong, I read that as the no driving being eliminated.
