This car looks to be in good condition with air conditioning, and seller is open to offers. He is listing it for $2500.00. It's a 4 door sedan, and has been converted to carbs.
Anyone interested in rescuing this car? If so I may be going to Las Vegas to visit relative soon, and would consider driving it back to Okla or somewhere in between. If I could scrape up the money I would make an offer on it. Bob |

This one?:

Looks pretty good from 20 feet. I'd like to see the engine, interior, and underbody, but it looks good for the price. Hopefully it spent its like on the dry desert where it rests now.
Funny he says he'd trade for a Baja bug... like maybe the one next to the 412 in the last pic? |

Even though the pictures a re from a distance.....I see the issues. Fairly normal ones....but common enough that they could be big problems.
This is a 1974.
1. Front bumper is crooked....and look at the fit of the drivers side fended to tye front valance.....and the crud around the drivers side headlight. I would say the rront end has been bent at one time.
2. All the fender trim is gone. Usually does not survive a repaint. It looks like it was a metallic at one point a nd repainted. Hard ro tell.
3. Small rust, spot at very bottom back corner of drivers side fender.....indicative of rust along the mating line under the fender. Happens a lot after a repaint...because between leaking, fender welting and not working hard enough to seal the interior fender to A pillar joint....you get rust.
4. Notice that the drivers front fender and the passenger rear fender have new black, non stock fender welting. The others are body colored.
5. The back hatch....has the classic major rust from the inside.
Not saying any of this disqualifies it as a viable car...just that there is a lot more than meets the eye. The levels of rust are standard.
$2500....may be a bit high. If its an excellent runner....and has no horrible rust.....and itsclargely complete.....maybe $1800 to 2000. Ray |

Don't think we are talking about the same one. Look in the listings for Type 4's for sale. There is a blue one 74 412. This car is a currently running car, and looks like daily driver. |

Whoops I take it back---we are talking about the same car. If it's still available when I go to Las Vegas, I'll give it inspection. Bob |
