I have a 67 bus and am replacing the rubber boot/lid on the fluid squirter. How do you replace the rubber lid onto the plastic base? |

The black lid unscrews from the washer bottle base.
I'm guessing you may have gotten past that part.
Are you asking about how to replace the rubber attached to the tube part of the cap? _________________ aka: Evan

yes without tearing the rubber part. I have tried contorting the rubber to try to squeeze the plastic ring inside but not having any luck. Was wondering there is a trick to it like doing axle boots (turn them inside out)? thanks |

The disc goes inside and the ring on the outside holds the rubber bellows to the bottle. |

well that part is obvious. I want to know how to get the rubber around the ring without splitting the rubber on my 50 yr old cap. There usually is a trick to make it work as I stated in the axle boots by turning them inside out to place them on the shaft. |
