Just bought a roof rack for my 64. PO said his dad got it in the late 50's, possibly in Canada. I've never seen one that clamped on all four corners before. Anyone have any insight?

I'm rarely rack-stumped, but that thing is great! A completely bolt together unit- but with cam lever clamps like the BeKoWa(?) accessory rack from 1965. Are the bolts Metric or SAE? That will at least tell us which side of the ocean it's from.
I bet it was marketed as easy on/off among the features. Very cool. _________________

Thanks for the reply Hitest. Looks like the bolts are metric with 11mm heads. I've got to double check the threads to be sure. Here's a close up of one of the bolts.

Very nice. We both need to hit the books. I need to dig through a few old issues of European car mags. I've collected over the years. I'll report my findings here- whether conclusive or at least hopeful. _________________
