Hi Folks, I bought a thing mostly complete. It is without rear drums. Does anyone have an extra set? Thanks for you input. |

There are currently 3 different postings in the Thing classifieds on this site for rear brake drums. Did you look there? |

The Thingshop sells them. German rear drums are prohibitively expensive, but you can get non-German drums for half price....

I bought 4 Sebro "made in Germany" drums for my '71 Super Beetle a few years ago, and they were fine.
"Made in Germany" was cast into the drums. The lug bores had nice clean threads. The splines (on the rears) fit well, and the bores for the front wheel bearing races were a good fit as well. They ran straight; stopped evenly, etc.
So I'm ok with them; my 2 cents. |

They're probably the same as the Thing Shop sells, right? I mean, how many German companies are making Thing rear drums? |
