What do these lock plates fit?

Can anyone tell me what these lock plates fit? I had assumed that they were for spindle nuts but they are too small. Ideas?

they are spindle nut lock tabs.

too small for what?

They could be Type 3, or late Split Bus.

how big is the opening (in MM)?

Could be for the tie rod arms

I don't think tie rod ends have the slot cut along their length for the tab.

Right...tie rod lock plates are a close 14mm with no tab.
