I'm really digging the sport rims painted to match the car. Is there a chrome ring around the edges? [EDIT] what size tires and rims are they? _________________ Eventually, "we are what we pretend to be.’”

I drove mine today. It's a 70-mile round-trip commute. I made it longer by avoiding the interstate because I don't want to push it too hard while I fix/figure out a bunch of the PO's work and deal with a compromised cooling system.

Took mine for it's second spin around the neighborhood...in it's completely torn down state. No glass, no interior (No dash and only the drivers seat), no fenders, no hood or decklid and half the body in bare metal...2 good things this time though; I had functioning brakes this time and no leaks! Taking it in to my High School's body shop on thursday to lay down some primer then hopefully paint next week or so _________________ Dennis - 1973 Super Beetle ('16-'21)

Clear day today. Big white clouds overhead, and thunderstorms forecasted.
I drove to the next town, since it had been a week without driving the bug. The vet was closed when I got to my destination, so I'll go again later today. Apparently, they had a staff meeting in the middle of the day and had closed for two hours.

Pulled my pile out today and took it for a jaunt around the neighborhood. Fired Right up after sitting most of the winter. I was happy. Loving this "early spring." |

Like always, drove round trip to work today. Except w/the windows down. Running great w/the breaks adjusted and the Bosch DVDA distributor matched to my 34-3. Shocking - daffodils are out and I saw some Cherry Blossoms blooming here in the neighborhood. That's a FULL MONTH ahead of when they usually sprout! _________________ Eventually, "we are what we pretend to be.’”

Its early spring here in France too. But cold and misty. I drove up to the nearest town, up a mountain inside a cloud, overtook a truck and caught up with a modern car that had earlier overtaken me. Car is going great, nice and warm with the FI and cabrio top. New Bosch light bulbs helped a lot. |

What would be good wider tires that would go on the rear 4/5" rims? _________________ Eventually, "we are what we pretend to be.’”

I rolled one of mine in and out of the garage a few times today so that I could put new heads, cylinders, and pistons in the engine for one of the others. Does that count? |

I drive mine everyday no matter what the weather. It's just more enjoyable when it's not raining with the windows fogging up. |
