So he completely bypassed the heater channels, That harness loom lying next to the door jamb on the floor, It should slide in and your sill plate will cover it.. I'm not a fan of it being (what looks like) it being pinched on the torsion cover either..
So, was he lazy, incompetent, or did he have a reason IE..is your channel blocked off from previous body work? _________________ '68 Campmobile-Pedro

all i know is that something is wrong.. =(
i'm going to unhook it all from the back engine area, pull it back through and do it right... there goes my weekend
where exactly is it supposed to go? i think it's supposed to come over the rear fender along side the rear hood latch cable and through the hole i'm pointing to in the last pic, is that right?
where is it supposed to lay inside the car? is it supposed to run inside the heater tunnel thing or along side it?
i'm having trouble finding pics showing the proper routing
let me know so i can do it right this time
thx!! |

It doesn't actually go through the channel, but slide into the lip, and the sill plate for the door jamb covers it..
I think there's a youtube vid of a guy doing the process
The loom goes though where it is now behind the seat, but then up and over the rear panel and fender and exits out of that empty hole in one of your last pics.. _________________ '68 Campmobile-Pedro

I should ad that it appears the hole in the engine firewall where it enters now is supposed to be where the battery cable runs to the starter, If you are putting the battery back in the engine compartment _________________ '68 Campmobile-Pedro

More photos to guide you. These from a 66 which should be the same as your 67
The loom is hidden by the front kick panels.
Here the loom is held in place with a bit of tape and by the sill plate.
After it tucks through the hole at the rear seat bulkhead it runs over the rear wheel arch and pokes through into the engine as shown already.
