I got the tranny Temp installed and noticed a couple of things...
1) My tires are rubbing the Spring Plate.
2) I have toe out.
So now how do I fix this?
1) New narrower rear tires?
2) Long Tubes in the rear?
Help I'm seriously stumped now. Rizzag or NAES HELP!!!

sounds like a set of short axles on the tranny. You will need long axles to fit right. |

They're long axles they came off a long axle tranny.
I'm running 195-60-15's in the rear right now. Funny thing I pushed the bus back in the garage and the rear settled in and would you know it's not rubbing and I don't have nearly as much toe out. _________________ Anthony

DubStyle..
You will have to run spacers while running your stock wheels. I'll snap a photo of mine tonight. _________________ FOOK CANCER

You need 1/2 inch spacers and can use either wheel studs/lug nuts or you might be able to find some sort of longer lug bolt that is long enough. _________________ Please check us out on Instagram at @holygrailgarage

Mine is a 1/2 inch thick aluminum "ring" that fits between the rim and drum and it's got holes for the lug nuts. I remember mine were a lucky find when I was looking for them several years back. _________________ Please check us out on Instagram at @holygrailgarage

simple, take a pair of 4 to 5 lug adapters, drill out the threads and use them. _________________ flossin, tossin, dippin, and trippin |

Picture a 1/2" thick plate. cut the center out just like the center of your wheel and have the same bolt pattern....I was stumped to when I was told I needed them...I got the plates and 10 bolts (1/2" longer) for $50. I think I can get you guys a set.. I'll have to call the guy to see if he's made more or ran across any.
I'll take the pic tonigt though..I have to put my bus on stands anyways and adjust the torsion bar. _________________ FOOK CANCER

oh and as for your toe in problem, it sounds like you may need to slot your holes in the spring plates, that will give you a little movement, just like a stock bug. _________________ flossin, tossin, dippin, and trippin |

Well like I said when I moved the bus back into the garage something shifted and my tires aren't rubbing. But just incase when I do get it bolted solid, where can I get a set KombiMonster? _________________ Anthony

I went out and checked my plates vs the tube location and it looks like I can slide it forward another 1/4" which will probably take that little toe out away.
Next question...
How in the hell are you guys mounting shocks? I mean the bolt on the frame runs parallel with the frame and the one on the castins is all cockeyed. I was thinking of making a bracket that mounts into the shock mount and has a hole at a slight angle to run Ball Joint shocks in the rear. _________________ Anthony

Thanks I read up a little and found that CIP carries one from 4-5lug for $49 the pair. I just wish I had the material to machine my own. Now just to find 1/2" longer wheel bolts. _________________ Anthony

I know yours is swing axle but I nearly gave up on my IRS trying to figure out how to do the shocks on mine. IMO you just have to be creative. _________________ Why buy what you can build.

Porsche wheel bolts may be long enough. I know they are not cheap. I beleive the OG ones are also stronger than these guys here
