Yes, the page numbers between what adobe reports and the actual manual are different. I was referring to the adobe page number.
The page number you mention is correct and is the books printed page number.
But I'm sure you already figured that out and the page numbers you mention are the ones I referred too.
All I see in the heading is 1500 Sedan with no N or S, is that because not saying 1500 S and only saying or printing 1500 indicates an N model by default?
I need to check mine for those bars that hold the hoods open, I don't recall seeing them in mine. |

Manual vs. pdf: gotcha. On page 8 of the manual (p. 10 of the pdf) there's a heading that says "Volkswagen 1500 Sedan and Volkswagen Variant." That's the beginning of the 1500 section, and all the features that follow are for the basic non-1500S (N) model. It doesn't say "N," but that's what it is. On p. 11 of the manual (p. 13 of the pdf) there's another heading that reads "Volkswagen 1500S Sedan and Volkswagen Variant S," and that's where the features of the 1500S begin. The prop rod discussion comes before p.11 (p. 13), right? It doesn't apply to your 1500S. _________________ 5/62 343

Thanks, that makes sense.
I saw the "S" section below too but didn't know if the first section was just for general options on all 1500 cars.
I need to order the certificate soon. |

So the VW Classic has moved to 21 June in Costa Mesa? Who's going? Is this not the VW Classic anymore? _________________ '62 golfblau Typ 311 Limousine

Notchboy was in town so we had to BBQ in his honor yesterday. Great to hang out with Pedro, Ron, Gizmobob and Jason. Thanks to Shane for hosting us and BIG thanks to Gizmo for lugging around 100 lbs of rare and cool VW literature to look through and pictures from the original type 3 days in Garden Grove. Really makes me think that we need to resurrect it for next year. _________________ '68 Lotus White T34 automatic sunroof

Agreed, now that The Classic has changed, maybe a type 3 only show would be nice. I miss the days when cars were sorted by type and style. _________________ I'd be UNSTOPPABLE if not for Law Enforcement and PHYSICS.
I recycle old cars and parts, other than when I rot, that's as Green as I am going to get.
Thanks to my Tesla driving neighbors, I feel more relaxed driving my SUBURBAN and old VW's.
