hey guys. I'm wanting to start on my notchback seat covers. I have a 65 safari beige. I think i had olive cord and the sides and back have a green tint to them. here is a picture.

Might have a company make it for me but I'm not sure if its vinyl or a fabric.

also found this, would look good with pea green.

IF i did go with the split fabric and pea green would it interfere with my Notchback getting into the 1500 club?

"Mesh" vinyl was an option in '65. I wonder how well the mesh platinum repro that's currently available would work with Safari Beige?

He has the green/olive color lower panels.

I still need to clean off the black spray paint but you can still see the green. What should i use to get the paint off?

Hi All,

Are these pictures of the available new vintage look seat upholstery for these materials?

Can anyone tell me where they can be purchased?

I recently obtained a mostly stock 1965 notchback except for the seats.
They were reupholstered in the 80's with a black basket weave material that looks like the black material they used in 1966 on the notchback.

Thanks in advance.

I think TMI or Sewfine can help you out. Many of the retail parts shops offer TMI products. ISP West might be a good place to start since they specialize in Type 3s.

Laughing Laughing Laughing.. Bayboy bought a fat chick... Laughing Laughing Laughing

Nice one Jason, but since you basically invented the club HTH were you disfellowshipped in the first place? Am I going to start having to call you Nikita?

That'll be good trading fodder for when your 34 Cab gets done. October is coming... I am actually beginning to envision getting it in the queue! It'll be exciting to finally see it done- even if it is you owning it. Wink

1. It's not an early- early car. Never thought I'd see you own a T3 younger than 1963.

2. HTH= How the hell. Nikita refers to Khruschev, ousted as Soviet Premier even though he was the head guy.

3. You forgot about the Cabrio???

Ahhh....got it Wink

1964 1500S Notchback in Nutria is my all time favorite believe it or not. If this new car had a sunroof then it would be the ultimate. But I've had a couple of those already so it wasn't a deal breaker.

I have a cabrio?
