Do you really need to put those 2 engine tin upper the cylinders ? I assum that if some german engener have designed them in the past... the answer should be yes... but i've heard also of some other taking them off... so i'm confused, and i believe that i miss the left side one anyway ... I think i have two right side (one without the thermostat cuting and one with) Manual says once in place clearance should be 14mm on one side, and 8mm on the other... please help !

I was advised by very knowledgeable people not to use them and use the later ones instead, that's what I did.
After all why was the design changed on later engines?
Cheers! |

I wouldn't leave them off unless your just making short trips from the trailer to the show. _________________ 1952 Crotch Cooler Deluxe (US specs delivered to Stuttgart, Germany GI.)
