Is there such a thing? I've seen Bosch technical manuals for the earlier air-cooled FI systems, but nothing for the Wasserboxers. I'm looking specifically for the later 87 style. Anybody? The Bentley is pathetic in this area. I have a good multimeter, just don't have the slightest clue as to where to start testing, what values to seek, etc...
thanks,

check on amazon there are a few books about the subject, I don't know good they are. It helped me immensly to know how a fuel injection system worked and what each part did. I think the bentley is the best you have for your van.

Actually the Bosch FI book by Probst covers a variety of different Bosch Systems, D-Tronic, L-Tronic, etc. Some of them are a little different but they essentially work about the same with some differences.

I think it's cursed.
Sad
Which unfortunately has affected me - I've been sick as a dog myself for the last few days, and haven't really had a chance to go out and mess with it. Last I checked, though, all wires/hoses/connections were ok, so I guess it's something with a sensor or something...of course, all my friends are still air-heads, so no one really knows much about these beasts...I'll look at some of the other Bosch FI stuff...I believe 87 is the digifant system...
thanks,

According to my Probst Book, "Digifant (I) system is a plulsed injection system partly designed by Volkswagen, but operates pretty much as a Bosch Motronic does. Its timing control map is less complicated than a Bosch Motronic map and it does not have a knock sensor".

I actually have 2 of these books by mistake. PM me if you are interested for $20.
