Tim is a great guy to deal with. I picked up an 019 distributor and dropped it in my bug. It's like a new car. This thing hasn't run this good since I've owned it. _________________ 72 Baja lookin' Super

Tim shipped my distributor as promised. Good guy to work with and the product was as advertised. I look forward to working with him again soon!

Picked up an rebuilt 019 from Tim and it was just as he advertised. He even went out of his way to snap me a pic of the badge showing condition. Tim is a pleasure to deal with and would have no problems recommending him to others. |

Tim is a real stand up guy. I bought a few dome lights from him and before they shipped out he told me that upon further inspection, the screws to clamp down the power wire seemed to be seized/stripped.
He said he would give them a good layer of lubricant in hopes of getting them to break lose once they got to me, and if they stayed seized he would refund my money.
About 2 hours without any budging, he was very nice and refunded the money without even having me ship them back to him. What a nice guy and really went out of his way to make sure that I was happy.
I would have no problem doing business with Tim. Thanks again Tim!

My initial thoughts were great as Tim responded to emails and shipped out a rebuilt distributor for my bus. The bus never ran better after installing. After about 200 miles something went awry and the bus wouldn't even idle. Put back in the 009 and it runs again.
I can't even get him to respond to an email.... |

Wow, westy66 sure has a hair trigger finger.
On Monday May 14 9:03pm John sent me a pic of the "leaking" vacuum can.
On Tuesday May 15 7:53am I responded and asked John to send me his address.
On Tuesday May 15, 8:06pm John responded with his address.
On Wednesday May 16th I mailed out the replacement vacuum can. I had offered to send him a complete new distributor but he stated all he wanted was the vacuum can.
I have received no further emails from westy66. today is Thursday May 17 and his vacuum can has been in the mail less than 24 hours and he complains?
I resolder ground wires when necessary and the one on his distributor apparently came loose. I offered to repair or replace no argument. He also stated that the vacuumn can was "leaking". I test my vacuum cans with a Mighty Vac during assembly and his tested good at shipment. It is an old used part though so I offered to replace it no quesitons asked. I have shipped his part within 12 hours of receiving his address but it does take more than 24 hours for delivery. I have responded to all of his emails in very prompt time. Not much more I can do. maybe its your (or Charter's) spam filter, I have sent emails from two different accounts. I had this same problem trying to get setup instructions when I first received it. I'm going to try and email again now using the "email" button in your sig.
Anyway, the bus won't idle. Seems like a big vacuum leak. I'm guessing the can is shot. |

I should have updated this sooner... After Tim and I figured out our email issues he promptly sent out a new distributor without having me send mine in. I dropped it in and everything is great. His distributors now come with a much more secure ground connection on the inside of the distributor body. Thanks Tim!! |

Just got my distributor in the mail. It looks great, communication with Tim was excellent, he was patient and answered all my questions. I got what I needed without any problems. I would not hesitate to go through Tim again when the time comes.

Just received a reconditioned 205T distributor from Tim and I'm flabbergasted at the amount of work he puts into them. All new parts and the case was cleaned from head to toe. The fit of the distributor shaft is like brand new! Tim is a great guy to work with and he REALLY knows his Volkswagen engines. Thanks Tim for all your fantastic information and especially the super nice job on the distributor! I'll be back for another one you can bet on that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
