Number is D0207409. It's been sitting for a long time. Appears to be a be a beetle tranny with a type 3 nosecone? Pic below show the shift rod with the dimple on the bottom. Also note the picture with the loose bolts. Is this where a kafer brace goes maybe? Any help is appreciated.

No one? Anyone know why ALL documentation that I can find stops at 65, then picks back up at 69-70? Was 66-68 a mystery trans?

Saddle mount holes are there. Its a 4 lug, but the drums are too small for type 3.

Could be from a 1968 type 1. 1968 type 1 had a swing axle 4 speed with 4 lug drums. 1968 autosticks were IRS.

I agree, but I dont understand the hocky stick. The dimple is on the bottom. My theory is that its a 68 beetle tranny with type 3 nosecone, or hockey stick. Would like to know but can't find any cross reference for the id number.
