Pop rivets will work. I have done that before and it worked out fine. Just cut out a larger area so that you are not trying to rivet into surrounding rust. Good luck... |

I would pop rivet it in you situation. but I would also buy some seam sealer from you local autobody supply house and coat the both sides under neath and inside. You dont want moisture to get into the seams and rust all over again.
I then would finish it off with por -15 |

you can, but it's just a bandaid. water will collect between the pan and the sheetmetal patch and the hole will get bigger before you know it.
the proper way would be to buy a repro rear pan 1/4 and cut out the hole and rust surrounding it and weld in the new peice, seal it and go over it with por 15 or just bullet. then you wont have to worry about it ever again. |

If you're going to do POR15, then just use the patch kit from them, which is like fiberglass mesh. _________________ West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette, 319 U.S. 624 (1943) |
