I worried my father with my addiction to fire, and speed. So I drove a 91 geo metro. It had a whopping 1.0L inline 3 cylinder, and what I call "smurf blue" paint. I went through 3 transmissions, and burned through countless fast food trays. Good times! |

1963 VW 23W deluxe bus. I spent the summer before rebuilding the engine with John Muirs Idiot guide. Paid $100 for it in 1975. _________________ "Two things are infinite: The universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe." Albert Einstein

Well I have had my Karmann Ghia since 1992 when I was 14 years old, but it has never been a daily driver.
So my first real daily driver was a 1977 Datsun 620 pick-up. It was rotted and I loved every minute of driving it.....even at the point when it became unsafe to be on the road.

First car was a 74 Nova SS, 8 months later I traded it for a 69 Baja convertible and then the addiction began. Guys at school were like " you did what????" |

'99 Camaro - 3.8L V6 Automatic.
I named her Stella and I still have her and she is still burning my wallet.
I just blew all my "Fix the VWs transaxle" money on a new Alternator for her.
The whore.

79 Chevy Malibu Landau. 350 small block, Cam, Heads, Headers, 350 tranny with shift kit. Only one problem, "you can't drag race on the street or you won't drive till 21" - Dad. I really loved that car. But I changed to my Manx style buggy and I'm really happy. |

'60 Bug - paid $500.00 for it,it was only 6 years old-might still be driving it if some guy in a Mustang hadn't rear-ended me at about 30 mph.
It was totaled-insurance co. gave me $500,and let me keep the wreck, which I parted out for about $300,and bought a 3 year old '64 for $800 in '67.
I miss those prices (gas was 26 cents a gallon) |
