I am removing the fenders from my 68 Bug.I want to extend the front end.I saw a car with the front extended by flipping the front control arms. How is this done?Do you have to swap them side for side? What do you do with the steering?Seems to me the tie rods will have to be modified. Thanks... |

You're going to want to check out www.volksrods.com a lot of the guys there have already covered this.
A little piece of advise if you go over there, use the search function. There is plenty of information in past threads and if you ask a question that's already been answered, you will get clowned. _________________ Type 1 - '68, '74

Flipped arms has been talked abotu there a few times, someone has done it there and ironed out most of the problems. There's a sticky thread on top of the form Too Lazy for Search Function with commonly asked topics including this one. The topic you want is listed under flipped front end |

I gave you direct links to the threads with pictures, steering box locations, pictures, trailing arm setups, pictures, etc. If that's still "pretty vague" then I don't know... |
