The car driven by Robert Redford in "SNEAKERS" is a Karmann Ghia |

I just watched Idle Hands and noticed there's a ghia in it. When Randy is trying to pick the girl up at the wake of the kid who was killed, she gets in an orange ghia when she leaves. |

Dustin Hoffmann in "The Graduate" drives an Alfa (as we all know). Just as he is coming out of the tunnel onto the Golden Gate bridge, he blows right by a Ghia |
Although in the film he's supposed to be heading to Berkeley, he's actually coming out of the Treasure Island tunnel and heading west toward SF on the Bay Bridge. Good catch, anyway...

Backflash, with Robert Patrick and Jennifer Esposito. There is a yellow 60's Coupe parked in the junkyard where mob guy Gin (played by Colm Meany) has an office. _________________ 1964 Karmann Ghia Coupe

Was watching an old episode of "lost" and a shiny red karmann ghia convertible pulls up to aid a family on the side of the road (in one of the flashback sequences). |

Hagerty Insurance recently ran a full service gas station for one day. If you brought in a classic car, you'd pay the same price as it was on the year of your classic car. Right around the 2:59 mark you can see and hear a late year Ghia Convertible driving away.
Update: After looking again, the owner of the Ghia appears earlier in the video at around 2:02 boasting about paying $1.80 for fuel.

Just saw a Corona beer commercial with a '70-'71 blue convertible. It's the one that starts out with two guys walking down the street carrying a cooler when they see a buddy waving them over. The Ghia's on-screen for only about 1/2 second.

Nice catch there. It has some shut line issues, but I would not mind riding in the back seat with their hair blowing in my face |

Not exactly the silver screen, but here's a out-of-focus Ghia in the background of the Foster Farms Road Trip commercial after the chickens drive their 1967 Dodge Coronet 4 door sedan out of the Arkansas trailer park on the way to California.

A later-model Ghia convertible was used in a very early Dire Straits music video for the song "Romeo & Juliet"
