I'm supposed to pick up an '86 Yamaha Razz tomorrow. It'll be my daily commuter for awhile...give the SC a break.

I've got a couple for sale Twisted Evil

I think mopeds are pointless. Small motorcycles can(and do) get better gas mileage in town, because you don't have to run them flat out all the time to keep up with traffic. My '66 Honda S90 will easily get 125mpg around town, whereas I'd be lucky to get 80 with my old Spree. But, if you're too lazy to go and get your cycle license, enjoy yourself Cool

a Vespa is NOT a moped. and most vespas would leave you in the wind at 70mph. some will yes but not most.

i've been looking into a scooter ar small motorcycle for gettin' around town. i should have bought the honda dream i looked at 3 or so years ago but decided against. or i shoulda kept my yamaha xs650 i sold a while back. though if i mostly should have never sold my Lambretta LI150 10+ years ago. i've never stopped missing that scoot.

i've run across a coupla decent cb350's. probably what i'll end up getting unless another dream shows up local...ken....

I have an '05 Yamaha Zuma. I use it more for running quick trips and errands to the local shopping center. I also use it as a pit bike at the local drag strip. It was more an impulse buy than anything else. Once I seen the same paint scheme as my sport bike I just had to find one. I was obsessed with finding one for a few months, luckily I did.

Doesn't moped mean moter/pedal? Those were big in the 70's during the energy crisis so people could pedal them like a bike if they wanted to save on fuel.

I've always wanted a Honda Passport. Better stability than the small wheeled scooter. They go 45-50mph.

Man now THAT's a machine! I had 2 Cimatti citybikes when I lived in Hawaii as well as a 67 puch I got for free because the frame was cracked and the gas tank was integrated into the frame so it leaked if you filled it up too much.My dad had a few Yamaha Chappys. Those are too freaky since they're so small though. I took a gas tank off another Cimatti that had it mounted on the frame in the front and added that to one of them so I had dual tanks. Then wrecked one into the back of a car,(a Rabbit ironically),that stopped in front of me with no brake lights,(compound fracture to the r.tibia, broken left wrist, cut head to the skull),so I took the forks off the scrappier citybike and made one.I also had a Garelli that I got for $50 because it needed minor work. That one would go almost 40 uphill with both me and it loaded with the Honolulu advertiser.Tossin' papers in Hawaii in the 80's at 15 years old. Man those were good times. I brought only the "trick" citybike when I moved to the mainland in 1984. The citybike sat on my back porch till I threw it in a dumpster when I moved in 2000. I'm still kicking myself in the balls for that one. Would have been perfect for cruzin around S'Cruz these days given gas and all.

i rolled a 1980 peugeot to college and back for a year, it got well over 100mpg and would do 30. after the first week i learned every back road, parking lot and alley in the city, it was actually faster to get around than a car

alas i had to leave it back home in cali

Mopeds are dope, I'd rock one if I wouldn't get ran over here.

That guy is actually pretty cool, he really is a member of a moped club in Chicago. If you listen to the lyrics you can hear him talking about jets. Laughing
