Here's the 2 bills i'm not sure what they're about...

exchange for a longblock with VW?

and the other, i can read that the belly pan was replaced, and the windshield frame,but cant really read the rest... anyone can help?

Looks like they replaced a couple cross beams and a jack point. They also repaired the belly pans and floors.

They also removed the heater box, either for metal work or to repair it.

You're right, the first item is a left side heater box for 175 so it was replaced.

no no, i meant the receipt about VW? exchanged longblock, that means i got a rebuilt one or a new one? or nothing at all about that?

now you can see why there isn't any money in restoring an old bus!...you didn't buy that thing for much more than he paid on that one repair bill!... good to know that the floor pans are solid...a couple rust hole repairs, some new paint and you'll be stylin'...

yeah, and that does explain why the bellypan was so solid...

its not perfect, but it sure is good enough for now Very Happy

this weekend we should get alot done, got some straight sheet metal to replace the huge hole and all the rubber for my tranny. Hopefully i'll drive it around this weekend for the first time in a long time Very Happy

does that shortblock number match the one in your engine bay currently?...5/25/2002...you might search/ask this in the engine/performance section...lots of engine block number experts in there...

also, is there some contact info that you could call someone for more details?...

well, the guy i bough the bus from doesnt answer email that often.

and he was the owner for the last 10 years, so nobody but him could answer the question... i'll try to get the # on the block tonight and post it.

As far as I know, "Exchange engine" means you got a dealer rebuild.
