Get a donor Beetle with sempahores, cut off the sempahore section ('B' pillar) and weld that part onto your car. I've seen donor sections pop up once in awhile. Make sure you know how to weld as the 'B' pillar is an important part of the body structure. |

Socalimports (socalautoparts.com) and probably some other places also sell aftermarket semaphores that come with cans that you weld in if you;re not looking to section out your b pillar....but they run $300 for 6v and 350 for 12v _________________ Wanted: flipseat parts: rear jump seat, folding chair, cups |

When I cut mine in I cut the hole for the semi in the outside of the pillar with a die grinder and cutting disc, then cut the inside of the pillar and stuffed the box through it and welded it in place, leaving the b pillar and window opening size intact. The wire isn't too hard to run, but if you have a headliner you want to save, good luck! You'll need to come up with the simi's, posts, and a new blinker switch, or buy the crappy (well not original) new ones mentioned above and butcher your bug. all said, it's a lot of work for outdated, expensive, 6v only blinkers.
But originals are cool! |
