What are these wheels?

I was wondering if anybody knew something about these wheels, what they are called, the history, etc... In the back it says "Wheel Distributors Inc Ontario, Calif. 15x5.5" Thanks

Far out! I have a set of those! I've been told they are referred to as "Dan Gurneys". I've studied my HotVWs collection from the '70's but never saw an ad for them. Seems like they were in favor with the Porsche 914 crowd as an aftermarket wheel. They also made a similar version for the narrow 5-bolt wheel pattern on VW busses from '71 on.

There's a dune buggy in town that is running those. I think those are some of the better 4-lug wheels I have seen.

I had a set of those wheels in the late seventies, a friend gave them to me, they came off a ghia.
