c21darrel ..thank you, Thanks a huge help. Yes the whitish gaskets were fitted on the mirror just not clear. I guessing the large springs are used to add pressure onto the mirror face.

My original plastic seal hooded Alberts have been on a few daily driver cars since I got them for a great price NOS. They are still in great shape.

Yes, the originals are so much better. I was able to pop out the old plastic seal a few months ago to tighten the head. It didn't crack still!

However, finding good original swan neck arms, good luck. They are hens teeth. Most are pitted and long gone.
