Hi,
I've had bugs, and am currently driving a ghia. My wife saw a T3 notchback in my latest VW-Trends edition. She loved it and wants one. I've never owned one. In Brazil, when I was a highschool sudent we had a Variant II. I think that that's a T3 squareback, right? It was converted to run on ethanol. Anyhow, I need some basic info, and I thought you guys would be answer these basics for me:
what years were notchbacks made,
where were they made (Germany, Brazil, etc)
what are the typical rust spots
what years did the body change
Thanks, _________________ The German |

If you are looking to buy a notchback, remeber that these are specially rare cars, and most of them have not been treated well over the years. Where a fastback and squareback are pretty easy to find un-molested, a notch in great original shape is almost impossible to find. Therefore, do yourself a big favor, and buy the most complete notchback you can find. Hunting for parts for two years is no fun. there are several notchbacks in the classifieds that fir this description, like mine good luck

The "C" pillar sometimes is an issue (with rust) where it joins the body. _________________ One man's "patina" is another man's cancer...
