November 1, 2009	• Flipped over 90,000 miles
October 28, 2009	• Disassembled original bumpers
October 14, 2009	• Removed gas heater piping and replaced with a block-off plate. • Cleaned and polished rear seat kick panel.
October 8-9, 2009	• A bunch of misc. maintenance - set valves, new distributor cap, adjusted carburetor, checked timing, filled tires, greased front end.
September 24, 2009	• Carburetor electromagnetic shut off valve not working reliably, replaced it with a nicer one I found in my spares.
September 17, 2009	• Previous owner found the toolkit and sent it to me, thanks!
June 9, 2009	• Installed NOS choke. • Installed new positive battery cable and grommet. • Installed new grab handle black plastic end - one was cracked. • Installed new passenger wing window rivet - original was broken.
June 7, 2009	• Changed oil. • Misc. engine area clean up. • Misc. deck lid and paint clean up. • 3/4 side valve cover appeared to be seeping a little. Noticed valve cover bail appeared to be upside down, reversed it.
June 6, 2009	• Fuel pump top cover seeping, installed NOS top seal. • Adjusted mixture and idle. • Installed replacement "hook" on driver's door handle so it opens properly. • Replaced driver's door handle pull handle section with nicer one.
June 5, 2009	• Installed rebuilt original-style fuel pump and new fuel inlet line. • Set and checked fuel pressure. • Installed new heater hose and pre-heat tube seals. • Disassembled original driver's rear pop-out window to extract glass. Piece of glass chipped off edge during disassembly. Dang it.
June 1, 2009	• Took delivery of a rebuilt screw-inlet fuel pump. • Ordered a bunch of parts from Wolfsburg West.
May 31, 2009	• Installed rebuilt carburetor. • Installed powder-coated bumpers from my Double Cab so I can get the original bumpers restored. • Adjusted driver's door.
May 28, 2009	• Removed driver's rear pop-out window because frame was rusty, installed a nicer pop-out window. • Cleaned up pop-out latches. • Installed LED dash lights. • Misc. toothbrush detailing on some paint crevices.
May 11, 2009	• Received original dealer packet from previous owner
April 18-19, 2009	BYOB 2009/Kelley Park 2009 • Located nicer coat hook grab handle
February 20, 2009	• Installed new body seals for 2 rear pop-out windows
January 10, 2009	• Installed front sway bar from a '67 Bus that I had powder-coated
November 21, 2008	• Installed new cargo door hinge oil plugs
October 18, 2008	• Cleaned up coat hooks and coat hook grab handle • Misc. interior detailing • Installed NOS carburetor intake clamp • Installed new heater cable and heater cable seals • Cleaned rear hatch jailbars
October 17, 2008	• Dropped off front sway bar for powder-coating • Located set of governor studs and original nuts • Visited this park and fountain
October 12, 2008	• Scored some parts OCTO show weekend - NOS splash pans, NOS decklid hinge seals, NOS wiper blades, NOS wiper arms, NOS slider latch seals, NOS shift rod bushings and boots, NOS link pins, center pin kit, and a few other misc. NOS parts.
October 8, 2008	• Misc. maintenance - changed oil, set points and timing, set valves, rotated tires, greased front end, oiled hinges, greased door catches, greased shift rod. • Replaced master cylinder push-rod dust boot.
September 27, 2008	• Played around some more with some driver's door handles I picked up recently. None were nicer than what I have so the search continues for a nicer lock cylinder. • Cleaned and greased passenger sliding window lock
September 26, 2008	• Went for drive in northern Arizona

September 22, 2008	• Reinstalled wiper motor and dashboard parts • Misc. under-dash clean-up
September 21, 2008	• Small wiring repair to speedometer • Re-greased and cleaned wiper motor • Installed replacement gas door lock with working spring, corrected shape of gas door lock slot on body

September 2, 2008	• Acquired NOS front beam rubber stops
August 31, 2008	• Acquired nice original paint front cargo door with pop-out window

August 27, 2008	• Installed replacement driver's vent window accessory lock - easier to use
August 24, 2008	• Acquired nice original paint rear cargo door with pop-out window • Acquired NOS front turn signal lenses • Cleaned up regulator connections
August 23, 2008	• Installed new front turn signal lenses and seals
August 21, 2008	• Installed replacement reduction box bearing, reassembled everything. • Installed new breather line
August 20, 2008	• Degreased and cleaned brake backing plate, brakes, shows, brake drum, and associated parts • Installed replacement headlight buckets • Installed new wiper shaft assemblies • Swapped air cleaner to correct left side, rerouted hoses as needed per owner's manual engine photo
August 19, 2008	• Installed new accelerator pedal rod seal • Disassembled right rear brakes to fix leaky axle seal, found damaged outer reduction box bearing • Cleaned and assembled axle cap with new seal
August 17, 2008	• Cleaned and assembled replacement headlight buckets with new lens seals
August 13, 2008	• Installed a couple new dash light bulbs
August 9, 2008	• Located nicer front passenger front seat. • Located a few more pieces of cargo floor to fix mine.
August 8, 2008	• Cleaned up the front sway bar a little, I think I'll just get it blasted.
July 9, 2008	• Located a complete '67 front sway bar for use on the Bus. Needs clean-up.
June 26, 2008	• Located an EMPI rear camber compensator for use on the Bus. Needs clean-up.
June 24, 2008	• Switched out battery to Optima 6-volt battery. Cut small wood block to keep battery strap tight.
June 16, 2008	• Separated replacement wheel well from it's surrounding metal by drilling out all the spot welds.
June 8, 2008	• Located correct rear spare tire well section at the VW Classic 2008 show • Located a few more 15" trim rings • Located a near mint set of headlight buckets - dated 1963 too. • Located another side step
June 4-5, 2008	• Prepped vehicle for VW Classic 2008 - set valves, checked out mechanicals, cleaned up some of the chrome trim, waxed exterior. • Installed bud vase on dash
June 3, 2008	• Put together an original tool kit
June 2, 2008	• Installed new headlight surround seals
April 21, 2008	• Installed nicer original license light bulb ground wire I found at Kelley Park 2008
March 30, 2008	• Greased front end. • Installed new front door seals by hinges and lower part of door latch • Installed new rear cargo door lower seal
March 12, 2008	• Cleaned and regreased cargo door handle.
March 5, 2008	• Located correct 1500cc style metal vaccum line. Cleaned and installed it.
March 3, 2008	• Adjusted clutch • Driver's door handle lock stopped working - disassembled, repaired, and greased handle. Lock cylinder end is damaged and I will need to find a replacement. • Cleaned and re-greased front door pillar latches • Oiled front door and cargo door hinges
March 1, 2008	• Converted Bus back to original BR5 "fat" distributor w/new points and vacuum advance. • Installed electromagnetic idle jet, size 45 like original '63 1500s used. • Swapped out air/fuel mixture screw with a cleaner one.
Fevbruary 28, 2008	• Located original '63 1500cc left handle air cleaner elbow to replace my original that was slightly damaged when moving it over to the right side to accomodate the Stewart Warner gas heater (now missing).
February 19, 2008	• Installed new battery ground strap. • Cleaned up and installed original taillight buckets, they had been replaced at some point but came with the Bus. • Misc. engine compartment wiring clean-up . • Installed nicer battery cover. • Installed nicer set of Ice Blue sunvisors I located some time ago. • Installed single nicer original black-logo hubcap I found at the Copperstate 2008 show
