| December 31, 2006 | • Woke up the Bus...
 • Gathered up the original rims to get them powdercoated and painted. Mounted my 1954 Single Cab 16" rims and bias ply tires in the mean time.

| October 20, 2006 | • Polished and waxed the right side. Steel-wooled (#0000) the
rocker

| October 19, 2006 | • Installed missing front wheel cylinders rubber caps • Topped off steering box fluid • Degreased and cleaned the steering box. • Got my repaired driver's door handle back from Gabriel the key guy. Installed it with a new seal. Nice!  • Installed my 1963 AZ plates. Made a little holder for the AZ tags. Polished the license plate frame.  • Washed and cleaned nose, did a quick polish and wax.  • First pass at polishing the doors and doglegs. 
 • Polished and waxed the rear bumper. Steel-wooled (#0000) the Deluxe trim  • Polished out the driver's side, the rear corners, and the rear hatch. 
 • Tightened both wiper pivots • Tightened loose driver's wiper linkage • Installed new passenger door handle seal, cleaned and oiled door handle and door mechanism |
| October 18, 2006 | • Installed new rear upper cargo door seal • Installed new rubber brake lines front and rear. 
 • Cleaned more dirt and grease from the rear end  • Installed new accelerator cable return spring. Spring #55 from Ace Hardware is a good match. • Installed missing cargo door handle seals with 2 original seals from my stash. Cleaned and greased cargo door handle.  |
| October 17, 2006 | • Installed 010 distributor to replace 009. Reset
dwell and timing. • Disassembled and cleaned carburetor. Installed new accelerator pump diaphragm. • Cleaned up connections for fuel sender just in case it started working - it did not. • Worked on freeing up the right side decklid hinge some more • Removed and cleaned air cleaner • Did a little bit more engine compartment cleaning • Replaced aftermarket series of carburetor return springs with original set up. • Checked rear brake rubber hoses - they need replacement • Current photo:  |
| October 16, 2006 | • Cleaned, polished, and installed new rear seat bar and
uprights - original was significantly damaged
 • Cleaned up transmission ground strap and rear cross-beam area 
 • Did a little bit more cleaning of transmission case, mostly in the nose cone area • Blew out heat tube for front seat area • Connected front seat area heater box completely • Installed new right side heater cable clamp • Tried out some diesel gas on cargo floor tar - didn't do much. Scraped off some tar by hand. • Cleaned up rear deck door panels • Re-glued rear deck vinyl • Re-glued vinyl behind driver's front seat • Installed temporary driver's door handle until my original is repaired |

 • Cleaned and installed extra full-length middle seat floor mat I had, need a short middle seat mat 
 • Cleaned walk-through mats • Polished interior panel chrome trim • Polished and cleaned front bumper • First pass at hand-polishing front bumper trim • Polished and waxed lower half of rear hatch • First pass at polishing rear hatch Deluxe trim • Cleaned and degreased engine and transmission some more - still dirty • Double-checked dwell and timing for trip tomorrow • Waxed dash • Reglued parcel tray vinyl to tray • Installed new cargo area interior light lens • Cleaned and polished aluminum on both kick panels • Cleaned cargo area interior panels some more • Cleaned rear seat bottom some more while it was out of the Bus • Cleaned interior grab handle and polished its associated coat hook |

parcel tray
 • Cleaned overhead vent • Cleaned front floor, parking brake boot, front floor mat, and other front floor pieces   • Cleaned walk-thru mat and walk-thru wrap-around rubber • Installed green decklid prop bolt • Installed nicer interior light lens • Cleaned decklid underside • Set valves, greased front end • Installed set of Deluxe 14" rims and tires I have so I could remove the small 165 tires that came with it • Test waxed decklid and rear bumper a little • Adjusted parking brake • Cleaned rear seat and rear seat arm rests |
| October 12, 2006 | • Starting cleaning interior • Cleaned visors, overhead vent and knob • Installed nicer dash grab handle • Installed decklid prop spring • Installed "new" passenger visor • Removed front license plate • Installed correct tailpipe tip • Installed various "new" seals - cargo doors, front doors, rear hatch • Hooked up clock - doesn't work? • Cleaned and installed "new" spare tire and rim • Installed cargo door handle spring • First pass at cleaning dash • Installed pre-heat hose pipe fitting at head • Installed new rear view mirror • Installed original-style Bus gas cap |
| October 11, 2006 | • Changed oil • Used PB-Blaster on frozen decklid hinge • Sent driver's door handle to Gabriel the key guy for repair, lock cylinder is damaged
