August 26, 2003	• Assembled and test fit new front hood drain hose New Ghia elbows Elbows and original drain hose Elbows installed Hood elbow close-up Drain plate close-up, sealed with a fuel-injection clamp (smooth clamp) Drain plate inside close-up Drain plate outside close-up Installed at hood Installed hood drain hose close-up Drain plate test fit Complete drain hose installed
August 23-24, 2003	• Pomona swap meet - Located pair of used 6v horns, NOS dome light, mint washer push button, toolkit, and near mint emergency brake push button • Exchanged rear seat hook • Installed new washer push button • Installed new emergency brake push button • Purchased and installed new front drain tube
August 17, 2003	• Re-glued various carpet pieces • Re-glued various front trunk mat areas • Applied anti-squeal material to front brake shoes
August 16, 2003	• Cleaned warning light bulbs and replace some dim ones • Installed missing securing nut on warning gauge • Polished gas gauge face to remove some blemishes • Installed new gas gauge and clock dash "seals" • Polished rear view mirror • Cleaned visor clips • Lubed up front and rear hood springs
August 8, 2003	• Located NOS lower door seals, NOS windscreen seal, NOS side marker lenses, NOS front turn signal seals, NOS overrider seals, NOS rear trunk Karmann Ghia emblem, and a few other items.  Thanks to Jeremy!
August 3, 2003	• Set valves • Cleaned carburetors • Installed new points • Adjusted electric chokes and linkage per spec • Resynchronized and adjusted carbs as needed
August 1, 2003	• Installed new distributor vacuum hose
July 29, 2003	• Topped up tranny with GL-4, tightened front transmission drain bolt • Misc. cleaning of lower transmission case
July 28, 2003	• Installed replacement 6v coil, thanks to Yancy • Rewired as needed for coil • Installed new coil to distributor wire • Adjusted idle and carbs.
July 27, 2003	• Washed car; Buffed and waxed some greasy handprints and the pin striping areas
July 23, 2003	• Removed pin striping
July 20, 2003	• Greased front end • Adjusted emergency brake
July 19, 2003	• Replaced shift bushing • Checked steering damper operation • Replaced gas tank to body fuel hose • Cleaned up front trunk area (Before) • Installed new door jam lower buffer, cleaned up door jam • Straightened fan shroud tin and installed timing hole plug
July 18, 2003	• Repaired driver's side fresh air vent control • Installed new rear seat strap  • Installed NOS chrome exhaust tip
July 14, 2003	• New rear seat strap broke. WTF! • Installed "new" fog light relay, fog lights work! • Installed "new" headlight relay, high/low beams work! • Installed "new" fuel gauge sender, fuel gauge works! • Trouble shot dual horns, wiring and relays work, horns do not.  One was 12v for some reason. • Cleaned front trunk mat • Cleaned out front drain hose • Installed new pedal pads • Installed missing screw on passenger fresh air knob
July 13, 2003	• Pomona swap meet weekend - Bought fog light relay, rear seat strap, timing hole plug, headlight relay, fuel gauge sender, door buffers, and NOS washer button • Installed new rear seat strap
July 10, 2003	• Fixed stripped oil drain plate stud • Cleaned engine and tranny some more • Fixed high/low beams - headlight relay was wired backwards (!) • Got both foglights to work for about 5 seconds, then the relay burned up.  At least I know the bulbs are good.
July 9, 2003	• Installed new main air intake boot • Cleaned up generator brush guides • Changed oil - one drain plate stud stripped out :(
July 8, 2003	• Reduced idle • Troubleshot rear trunk light - bulb missing • Troubleshot occasional generator light on - new lower brush sticking in its housing • Repaired clock knob - pin was missing
July 7, 2003	• Installed correct air cleaner center connecting seal • Corrected choke operation • Installed correct air cleaner center wingnut • Troubleshot driver's side marker - bulb burned out • Installed new breather hose • Installed a couple nicer 66-67 hubcaps and removed red backing on trim rings • Corrected interior light wiring (wires reversed) and fixed interior light ground
July 6, 2003	• Troubleshot driver's fresh air vent - cable broken off at control knob
July 1, 2003	• Replaced oil filler boot • Replace passenger side carb. linkage with correct factory piece • Adjusted carb linkage, returned as needed
June 30, 2003	• Replaced oil cooler seals, reassembled engine tin • Cleaned oil cooler • Replaced oil cooler padding • Installed new fuel line bushing • Replaced left side rubber heater connector • Replaced some fuel lines • Installed fuel line clamps • Tuned engine - set idle, synchronized carburetors, checked timing
June 29, 2003	• Disassembled engine tin to replace oil cooler seals • Picked up some new parts • Troubleshot fuel sender - fuel sender bad • Noted all warm up flaps and parts are missing
June 28, 2003	• Reattached various pieces of loose carpet • Troubleshot fuel sender - fuel sender bad
June 25, 2003	• Radio shorting out, securing some of the loose wiring.
June 10-24, 2003	• Bad Camberg trip - located nice used upper dash, nice used front arm rests
June 9, 2003	• Drove home to Phoenix, AZ from San Diego, CA
June 8, 2003	• Finalized purchase at VW Classic 2003
