The day begins with a cruise through the historic West side of our beautiful city. We will meet in the parking lot of the shopping area located at 1466 Garden of the Gods Road. Take exit 146 off of Interstate 25, head West (towards the mountains) 1.3 miles and the shopping area will be on your right. We will begin assembling cars for the cruise at 10 AM with a departure time of 10:30 sharp(ish). The cruise will wind through some of the scenic routes our city has to offer with our destination being the Brewery. Bring your camera as there will be some not to missed opportunities for photographs! Bristol's Brewing is located at 1647 South Tejon Street, take exit 140 (Tejon Street) off of Interstate 25, South on Tejon 0.3 miles and the Brewery will be on your left. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon perusing some of the finest VW's in Colorado at this non-judged event. There will be music provided by DJ Dirty of Split Window Sydicate as well as live music. Sample some delicious Brats from the fine volks at Edelweiss Restaurant. Drop in for a cocktail or lunch at the Blue Star Restaurant. All establishments within walking distance of the event! And of course, quaff an award winning brew fresh from the source! As last year, the Treffen Cruise will begin immediately following the Rose City Bug-In on Sunday August 1st and end with the VW Treffen 12 in Channel Islands Harbor, CA on Saturday August 7th 2010. August 7th, 2010 Come out and bring your vintage German aircooled VW, Porsche or Motorcycle to the second annual "Frederick" show. With deep seated German roots, Frederick is the ideal setting to host the event. Live music and friendly atmosphere. Vehicles are parked on the sidewalks and in adjacent lots. Enough parking for 60 cars or so. Additional parking close by. There is a Trolly to carry people to the heart of downtown every 20 minutes (5 Minute Walk) to restaurants, bars and shopping. They will have a section for V.W's only and will offer a special trophy for us as well. All VW's are welcome to attend and enter the show and shine and the drag racing if you like. If enough enter the drag racing then you will be paired off with other dubs and not just tuners. After the show and shine event, all who entered will be allowed to drive on the track in a "victory" lap. We are very excited to work with A.M.S and want to have a strong showing...so let's make this a TRUE V.W. Invasion and turn out in force!!! http://www.autobahn.be Bitburg is a former US Airbase, which for the last couple of years now, is mainly used for Drag Racing purposes by the GI's. Following an initiative by "1on1-motorsports.de", the Bitburg Motorpark includes a 1/4 mile Track equiped with a real Drag Racing timing Set-up. After each Run you will receive a complete Time slip including elapsed times (60 feet, 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile) and Top Speed. In order to provide a great Weekend, the "Der Autobahn Scrapers" joined in with "1on1-motorsports.de" to organize the Das Drag Days. Therefore the Racetrack is not only open to the Aircooled VW's but also for local GI's and their Street machines. During the 2 days of the Event there will only be Drag Racing on the program! The dealership will have a fenced and barbwired area for the vendors under 24hr surveillance so no worries about security. For this show there will be NO CHARGE for new or used parts vendors. The only thing the dealership asks is that no water-cooled parts be sold as it will interfere with their parts department. Everything else is game!!! We will have room for six acres worth of cars so bring one or two or all of your cars!!! We really want to see a huge turn-out for this show so that we can show the dealership that VW enthusiasts in the Upstate are ready to support of large show in our own back yard. It takes approx $2,500 to get a child a sponsorship for a year at the Mourning Star Center and approx. $350 to put a child through "Camp Erin" during that weekend. This is a total charity event to collect toys for the U.S. Marine Corps. Toys-for-Tots Christmas program. Every year, the U.S. Marine Corps. collects and distributes millions of toys to needy families in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. It is a non-judged show and the entry fee is one new un-wrapped toy. This fast growing all Volkswagen show at Old Town is intended to be a fun filled experience and as usual at Old Town, will be a non-judged show. The cars will be on display for all to see and there will be all types of activities for the family including a live band, children's entertainment with the Herbie The Love Bug displays, a best decorated holiday car event, Santa, and of course all of the normal rides and entertainment that is found at Old Town.
