We’re meeting here to tick many different boxes. The event is made by the traders – professional and private – who come and sell their wares. Please support the guys who enable this event to happen and keep it sustainable. If there are no traders we’ll all have to play badminton in the sports hall and personally I’m not up for that.
It’s also a great opportunity to meet friends and socialise and that’s something we encourage as we’ve done it ourselves for the last 10 years or so at Slough Swapmeet and its always nice to catch up one last time before the season officially ends.

The Drag Day is an event held twice a year in Southern California. Geared more toward the motor head VW Junkie, the HOT VWs Drag day has much to offer for every kind of VW Enthusiast. Of course there is the action packed 1/4 mile drag racing that takes place, which on some days can attract over 200+ racers at any given event. Although there is no official "car show" at this event, we do offer a preferred parking "Show & Shine" area for any VW in the PITS. The Drag Day also offers a huge Swap Meet at no extra charge that seems to keep getting larger and larger as each year passes. Overall the Drag Day is a fun event no matter what you like about Volkswagens. Whether you're into racing or want to catch a good deal in the Swap Meet, the Drag Day has lots to offer.

After visiting events in Germany like Bad Camberg and Hessisch Oldendorf, we wanted to bring an old German atmosphere together with strictly Vintage Volkswagens. The Phoenix Club in Anaheim, California is a true "old school" German Cultural Club, as well as the perfect host for an event like this. The So Cal Vintage Treffen is limited to 1961 and earlier "Small Taillight" Beetles and Buses, 1959 and earlier Karmann Ghias, early Military Vehicles and Coachbuilts, as well as Porsche 356 “A” and "pre-A" cars.. Our first event held in September 2007 turned out to be a big success, and the plan is to hold it every other year opposite the Solvang Vintage Meet put on by the Golden Gate Chapter of the VVWCA. So if you have an old VW collecting dust in the garage and you want to show it off, or if you're just looking for an excuse to have an authentic German Bratwurst and beer... the So Cal Vintage Treffen is just the place for you.

:::CAR SHOW INFO:::
The So-Cal Vintage Treffen is limited to the first 200 cars registered. This event in particular is specifically for 1961 and earlier "Small Taillight" Beetles and Buses, 1959 and earlier "low light" Karmann Ghias, WWII Military and early VW Coachbuilts. Because of our limited room at the Phoenix Club, we have to limit the vehicle count to 200. If there are spots available after pre-registration closes, we will take entries the day of the event until our maximum capacity is reached.
$60 Deluxe Entry: This will get in both driver and one passenger. (must be riding along in the car) For your Deluxe Entry you will be included in the "Participant Judged" portion of the event and receive the "Wolfsburg West Goodie Bag" including the limited edition, numbered car badge and dash plaque. If you have entered in a previous Treffen event and would like the same number as before, that can be arranged. Also, the vehicles picked to park in the Beer Garden and Festal-Tent will be chosen from our Deluxe Entries only. Deluxe entries will also have the option to load in early on Saturday afternoon and pre-stage their vehicles.
$20 Standard Entry: These entries will be sold at the gate, on the morning of the event, as space allows. Standard entry participants will be able to park inside on the grass along with all the other early vehicles. The Standard entry is for the person who wants to show up and park inside, but not necessarily interested in receiving any of the limited edition goodies. Be advised that there will be limited Standard entries based on the number of pre-registered Deluxe entries. Standard entries will not be included in the judged portion of the car show.
No show trailers will be allowed inside the Phoenix Club facility. We are very limited on parking, so if you plan on towing a vehicle, please make arrangements ahead of time to store your truck and trailer.
Each "Deluxe Entry" participant will receive a judging card to fill out and return to the car show registration booth. You are to vote for one car in each class except the class you are registered in. A first place and runner-up award will be given out for each class along with a few specialty awards to be determined later

We are part of the official park festivities this year so Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00, the Buskatiers will be providing cotton candy, other goodies, face painting, and games with prizes for the kids and patrons of Indian Cave State Park. Please consider volunteering 2 hours of your time to help out. The staff as Indian Cave State Park has been extremely accommodating to us the past 2 years and we want to maintain this fine relationship between the Buskatiers and them. Jan Alexander has been a crucial element in helping us not only pull off this event, but also insuring we get a great location for the event in the park. Many thanks to her and the staff at ICSP!!!
What you need to know for the camp out:
Since Indian Cave State Park is a state park, a permit of some sort is required to camp. You can purchase permits by the day at the check-in station. You can tell them you are camping with the Buskatiers Volkswagen Group.
Head on over to Google Maps to see where ICSP is located at. We will be located in the original location of Bustoberfest, which is the tent campgrounds. This will be the 3rd left after you pass the toll booth. We have permission to park on the grass and there are electrical hookups! No more than 2 campers per pole. Fees are $5 per day per vehicle to get the park pass and $12 per night to camp. Annual passes are $25.
If you need heat, please consider bringing a propane heater, generator, or use the on-site power. Follow ALL safety rules regarding your heaters. There is no substitute for a sleeping bag rated for extremely cold temperatures.
There are nice heated showers and toilets in the tent campground. You will receive a free map of the park when signing in so study it closely to find the locations of the various facilities.
Please be respectful of other campers. This includes keeping the noise level down at night (including voices, generators, needless revving of engines,
etc.) The park has had mangers in the past who were indifferent to our arrival so PLEASE don't give them any cause for complaint. There have been a few.
Leave NO litter behind. There are trash bins provided for your trash. This includes foods, cans, and anything that wouldn't have been there had you
For our Saturday night hoopla, please feel free to bring some food to share with others. Consider this the *MOST* informal form of potluck you've ever heard of.
Feel free to bring any kind of an item(s) for the raffle. This is a free event where names are drawn and win a prize just for showing up. It's nice to
see something you brought go to someone who can really use it. The look on kids faces makes it all worthwhile. If everyone brings one item, everyone
will win something. Ideas for things to bring are anything VW-related whether new or used, parts or toys, any vehicle care products, hygiene products for campers, camping supplies, or simply anything you don't want but wouldn't want to throw away.
Music is encouraged and appreciated. If you play an instrument, bring it along. Everyone enjoys music around the campfire so guitars, banjos, ukuleles,
bongos, drums, anything is encouraged. Just be prepared to play in a group jam session!
What is there to do?
Since ICSP is located close to Brownville, NE, Whiskey Run Creek Winery is worth a visit. It's a winery built on the site of an old brewery and inside of a renovated barn. Wine tasting is featured and wines along with other products can be purchased here.
ICSP has a museum as well as nature trails and quite a few scenic spots to visit. Explore the park and I guarantee you will run out of time to see and do it all. Part of their exhibits feature soap making, candle making, and black smithing to name a few.
Since this is a VW event, feel free to talk VW, speak VW, and do VW. In the past engines have been pulled and rebuilt, problems diagnosed and repaired, and
the sounds of trains have echoed through the campgrounds (depsite no tracks around! You'll have to ask around to find out!!! Even our resident fuel injection guru and traditional "Heart-Attack Special Pancake Maker" Glen Hadley has been known to bring a dead baywindow bus to life at this event. There is plenty to see and lots to talk about.
Consider using your GPS to go geocaching in the area.

Tahlequah and Volkswagen seemingly go hand in hand. They both share a certain coziness and reliability. They are funky and have quirky characteristics that are beloved by their owners and citizens. Through the evolution of the vehicle countless Volkswagen's have found their way to Tahlequah. Artist, students, hippies, musicians, faculty and professionals have migrated to Tahlequah via the VW.
What started out as a quiet and intimate get together has grown in to a full blown festival. Join us in historic Downtown Tahlequah, Oklahoma for the 5th annual OKsWagen Festival, September 30th and October 1st. Several additions have been put in place for 2016. Arts on the Avenue, a stand alone festival normally held in June, is now intertwined with OKsWagen. Good Food Festival that was held in April will now be apart of OKsWagen. The only thing left to add was Craft Beer and Wine tasting, so we did that too.
