The X-Celerator Speed Wheel Kit #2 is the Ultimate Classic VW Flat Pedal solution.
A Complete Flat Pedal Conversion Kit is now available to eliminate the old Z-Bar throttle accelerator linkage that is out-dated and needs replacing. Over time, wear to the old linkage components will cause the pedal to flop around and the linkage can either pop off or the pedal may stick to the floor while the engine is racing wide open. Not much fun...
The Twin Lever Speed Wheel is revolutionary in design by forming a U-Shape that hugs the cluster assembly pivot pin hole. The 2-piece Twin Lever Speed Wheel X-Celerator Lever is laser cut, formed and TIG-welded together (and powder-coated), making a strong and stiff accelerator lever. The twin-lever revolves around a longer CNC-machined 303 stainless steel polished pivot pin that becomes a shaft and that gives you that smooth effortless feel to the pedal. The rear stop tab on the new accelerator lever can be adjusted for bigger carburetors.
The X-Celerator Speed Wheel Kit #1 (for Left Hand Drive) includes:
1. New X-Celerator twin-lever assembly
2. New machined delrin wheel
3. New aluminum flat pedal made from 6061-T6, with a 6mm shoulder bolt for easy install and removal
4. New Longer CNC-machined stainless steel pivot pin with E-clip.
5. New return spring.
6. New rubber pedal pad
7. New cut-to-length accelerator cable
Made to fit German Pedal assemblies 58-66, left hand drive only.
