Luggage area panel - 55-63 walk - through   Price: $50 or $90
The standard microbuses came with a millboard panel above the engine, behind the back seat. This panel was colour co-ordinated with the interior panels in the standard microbuses (type 22). Deluxes had carpet.
Almost all Kombis and Panelvans were bare.
This panel came with the M502 panel sets for kombis and panelvan. You can install it in any model, to help quiet down the bus.

This ad is for the version that fits 55-63 walk - through buses, with spare tire well in the back.
This luggage panel also fits those uncommon bench seat buses with the spare tire well in the back, and swivel seat buses, which also have the spare tire well in the back.
It fits great, just like the original. But it's not ratty like the originals you tend to find.

This panel will NOT fit 64 & later (wide hatch) buses. Please see my other ads for the 64-67 version. Please see my other ads for the bench seat version, w/o spare tire gap.

The price is $50 plus shipping for an unpainted (bare) panel. You can paint it to match your interior color scheme.
The price is $90 plus shipping in commercial grey with grey tape at the front edge.
I can paint it some of the stock colors for microbus interiors... turkis, basalt, mesh grey, caramel etc.

Please let me know your zip code if you are interested in having this shipped to you.
Dimensions of box for luggage panel is 34"x61x2"

When installing this, remove the back rest of the back seat. Have the panel square with the bus with the drivers side resting on the bottom of the backseat, and lifting the passenger side up slightly. Slide it straight back keeping it square with the bus, then drop it down once it clears the gas filler bump.
It is very tricky to install if it is angled sideways, but easy if you keep it square with the bus, and the passenger side slightly lifted. :)
Originally, there were tar board strips glued in between the ribs on the luggage deck, before this panels are installed.

The panel is predrilled for screws in the og locations. Use 8 normal interior panel screws with trim washers, not included.
