[WTB] My originally grey patina 1963 11-window Kombi Price: reasonable
|
I know it's a long shot, but I'm looking for my old originally grey patina 1963 11-window Kombi, last seen by me in the Santa Rosa/Guerneville CA area, during the early 1980s, owned at the time by an ex-girlfriend.
At the time, it had wide tires mounted in the rear on Cragar G60 rims, a clear plexiglas driver's door sliding window, an engine with the base of the oil pressure sender twisted off in the case (OOPS!) that I semi-sealed with epoxy filler, one or two engine air scoops on the rear quarter(s), and hauling-trailer-type rear lights (absolutely not stock). In addition, it had some discoloration above one of the front windows and two small dents in the front behind the front bumper towel bar where I towed the Kombi with a bug-style tow bar (OOPS, again!). I believe it had yellow-on-black (1963) CA plates.
I recently learned that it had been sold several years ago to a older guy San Bernardino CA, who then spray-painted it red (rattle can?) and re-sold it, presumably to a local buyer, during the late 1980s/early 1990s.
Might still be reddish and within the Inland Empire area (or greater southern California)...
