1987 VW Westfalia Vanagon   Price: 24,900
1987 Westfalia Vanagon. New tent in pop top. All upholstery, curtains, and screens in excellent condition. Have front and rear tables. No kids, pets, or smoking in van ever. Yakima gutters, towers, and bars for kayaks included. Absolutely no rust. Body recently detailed. Has been garaged and maintained with TLC entire life. Needs a good home with someone who will use and enjoy the awesomeness this vehicle has to offer. 151000 original miles. Manual transmission.

Itís nice to meet you. My name is Ann and my husband is Aaron. We have owned the van going on 18 years. We have had a lot of work done in those years.

Aesthetically, we just replaced the tent in the pop up. It is the new 'nylon canvas' type (from GoWesty), guaranteed not to mold if put away wet. (a big no-no) Also, we had a local detail shop detail the entire body July 2017. He took out a couple tiny dings and road chips, touched up the paint and basically made the exterior look great. (cost $3,641.00,have receipts) He was able to tell us that there is absolutely no rust on the van. There are 2 chips in windshield.

In June 2016, we replaced all engine compartment fuel hoses and had new seals put on fuel injectors. (have receipts). In Oct 2017, replaced water pump, replaced fittings to rear heater core, and replaced rear wheel cylinders and adjusted brakes. (have receipt). In 2013, we had the valve cover gaskets replaced and replaced and repacked all 4 CV joints and boots.

We basically have a binder with receipts from the last 17 + years. We have been faithful to change the oil regularly. There is a very slow oil leak that we have had looked at more than once and have been told that this is fairly normal, to keep a watch, and not to worry about it too much. That said, we have never had to add oil between changes and are not told that the oil is low when it is changed. This is a 31 year old classic car, and as you know, maintenance and upkeep are a part of ownership. We feel we have fulfilled that responsibility to the best of our ability. We have never driven it hard. It runs great and just purrs along.
