1981 Westfalia Vanagon--Just Rebuilt Engine!!   Price: 15000
Meet Wendy Westy. :) She has given us many great years full of adventure, and it breaks our heart to see her go. We are moving out of state, and our family really has outgrown her, so it's hard to justify taking her with us. We just invested in rebuilding the engine so that the next owner will have many years of fun ahead. We have maybe driven 50 miles on the rebuilt engine. Odometer does not work.

At 37 years old, this VW shows a bit of her age in the cosmetic realm (paneling and wallpaper has some damage, very small cosmetic rust in a couple spots on exterior, seals are a little dry but intact. Original paint is in great shape across the vehicle with wear in a few spots) . But everything else is quite solid and beautiful in it's original state. I believe the previous owner reupholstered the back cushions, as they don't match the front seats. There are just some thin seat covers on the front captain's seats. Passenger seat swivels to face the interior and there are two tables not pictured. The camp gear includes a fridge and sink if you use hook ups to plug in electric and fill the water tank. (We mostly used the fridge as storage space). The light above the sink works. There are storage compartments under the back bench and side seat as well as a cabinet and cubbies in the very back. Includes bug net that fastens to the back when the rear hatch is up. Also includes curtain that fastens across the front window. All curtains are still in good shape and can be pulled shut or snapped off to the side.

This is where I hand the listing over to my husband. :)

Van upgrades:

The entire engine was rebuilt in 2004 including the bottom end. The
transmission and clutch were replaced in 2002. 2 years ago I replaced the
fuel tank, fuel filter and all of the fuel lines. In 2015 the starter was
replaced. In 2016 the front wheel bearings were replaced. In 2015 both CV
joints were replaced. About 50 miles ago the engine was rebuilt including
new Pistons, cylinders, heads, oil, oil filter, gaskets, Muffler, vacuum
lines, distributor, plugs and plug wires, mass air flow sensor, oil
temperature sensor. The tires have about 50% of their life left and the
brakes are good. The battery was replaced last week. There are no
electrical drains and the battery holds a charge well.

Also included with the purchase are two new in the box CV joints, 2 new fuel
filters, and extra new distributor, a used mass air flow sensor, and a few
other small parts.

Just lowered the price to 15000. Please feel free to call Rick at 503-884-9520 with questions/interest.
