Passenger Door dent
87 Vanagon Full Camper Bostig conversion   Price: $24000
1987 Vanagon Full Camper for sale. 231,000 miles. New Mexico vehicle, so no rust. My son did back his truck into the passenger door, so it has a dent that does not affect functionality (picture posted).
Improvements/Upgrades:
• New radiator
• New steering rack
• 15” wheels (from PO) with virtually new (~1500 miles) Michelin Agilis tires
• Go Westy high-power headlight conversion
• New antenna
• Pioneer stereo (which DOES work, but in the course of replacing the heater core I seem to have screwed up the speaker wires so it currently does not output sound, and I just never took the dash apart to fix it. Still plays everything, but no sound….)
• New heater core
• Deep 12v outlet/cigar lighter
• Eurovan seats (HUGE improvement!)
• Go Westy aux. battery kit
• New Go Westy 5 gal. propane tank with guage
• Eurovan faucet conversion
• Foot-operated Go Westy faucet switch
• Go Westy LED panel
• Go Westy fridge check valve (fridge works great)
• One of the rear seatbelts is new
• New Go Westy hemp 3 window tent
• New pop-top seals
• Bostig ZTEC engine conversion (31,800 total miles on new engine)
• New power steering reservoir
This Van has been a wonderful companion, and has taken my family and I on MANY adventures over the years, but the family is all grown up now and moved out. The Bostig conversion means that the Van drives like a regular car—can go up hills and everything! And reliably! The Van has A/C, and the engine has an A/C compressor, but it has not been plumbed. A/C hoses need to be fabricated to reach the compressor; initially I intended to do this, but I just liked driving around with the windows open.
