1985 Volkswagen Vanagon GL Westfalia   Price: $19900
1985 Volkswagen Vanagon GL Westfalia full camper. 88,972 actual miles as of 8-11-2018, power steering, air conditioning works, 1.9L engine runs good, does not use oil. New upper and lower ball joints and tie rod ends. Steering boots are in good shape, very pliable. C V joint boots are in good shape, very pliable. Transaxle seals do not leak. There are no leaks anywhere, does not drip oil. Interior is clean. Carpet looks good. Upholstery on seats and on bed cushions in good condition. Stove and sink are clean. Fridge is clean and works good on 120v and 12v. Propane tank was removed because it did not meet present day safety codes. Read article about it at gowesty.com. Cooking outside on a Coleman stove is more enjoyable. Some people remove the fridge because it did not work good on gas. We stayed at campgrounds that had electricity and the 120v works good. And going down the road the 12v worked good. Privacy curtains all the way around, custom screens for the side windows and a snap on screen for the back door. Front seats turn and a table sets up between them for use. Another table sets up to use at the bench seat. There is a rear heater with a fan under the bench seat. The body and under carriage are in good shape. A couple of seams had some surface rust, so I cleaned them out and treated with Por-15 in the seams. I still need to color match the seams. There was no rust hole in the seams and there are no rust holes in this vehicle. It is in very good shape. The paint does have nicks and scrapes of 33 yrs. but still looks good. It has been garaged and not left in the sun when not in use.The fiberglass top is not faded and the rubber seals around the windows are good and very pliable. There is not any rust around the windows as on some Westfalias. The rubber seals for the top are also in good shape. The fiberglass top has not had anything bolted to it. The canvas material does not have any holes and has a zip down window for a screen but the screen has some holes. This is a very fun camper.
