CHOPPED Squareback Race Car - WHOLE OR PARTING OUT   Price: 6000
Time has come to let my project race car go. I have called it BLACK OPS. This is a 1969 (have title in hand) 5" chopped squareback. All the fenders, doors and apron are removable and made of fiberglass. The front is mounted to a custom tilt assembly, but can be removed.
The headlights and taillights are on quick disconnects to facilitate removal of the front clip and rear fenders quicker.
The front suspnsion is a JT aluminum beam that has been narrowed 3 inches. Includes adjusters and 2" drop spindles. Front wheels are solid spindle type with M&H front runners
The rear suspension is IRS and narrowed 3" on both sides. This has allowed the fitment of 8.5x26 - 15 tires under stock width fenders WITHOUT cutting the opening. Rear wheels are CMS 205mm bolt pattern. The brakes are Tatum 4 piston calipers with stock axle shafts modified to m 930 CVs. Also, the torsion adjusters have been mounted on the inboard side. Accessible from under the car. This allows more clearance at the torsion palate.
The current set-up for the trans is for an 002 5-rib with mid carrier bracket.
The pan halves were replaced with flat sheet metal and a full cage installed ALL CHROMOLY. The cage is tied into the front suspension and to the rear torsion housing and transmission.
The steering is mounted to the cross shaft with a tilt column (ease of exiting) and a quick disconnect for the wheel.
All electrical was installed, but I will be keeping the gauges, tach and MSD. Taillights and headlights will stay with the car.
