1982 VW Vanagon. Live the Dream. Price: 17000
I bought this dream van in July 2017 and it's given me joy and adventure ever since. When I walk into parties, people greet me with either "How's the van?!" or "Hey, aren't you the one with that rad yellow van?" If you buy this sweet ride, prepare to be known for it. :)
Due to a move abroad, I'm sadly putting her up for sale. (To which everyone also responds, "Noooo you can't sell the van!!!") Alas, here we are.
I drive her short distances often and store her in a covered garage at my office most nights. She runs smooth and rides like a gentle boat. I've taken her on a few camping trips and she sleeps 4 comfortably. The fridge is amazing - just takes one bag of ice and keeps everything cool for about 36 hours. The bench folds out easy into a bed. The Riviera top pops up to make an awesome bed or reading nook, and allows for standing up in the van (which is generally great, but specifically if it's cold out when you're camping and you don't want to go outside). The previous owner restored VW's and also ran a window tinting business, hence it's excellent interior and tinted windows for extra privacy.
183K miles with broken odometer
Riviera camper top
Body is great to excellent condition (slight scrape above back right tire and minor dent in back bumper due to doh! recent parking snag, which I've factored into the price)
Missing metal table pole
AC doesn't work (but live in cool place so haven't noticed)
CD player does and man that has been hilarious going thru my college collection
Interior was restored in 2016/2017 with new houndstooth upholstery and wood laminate floor
Regularly maintained at the VW Bay Area specialists: Tassi Motors, Buslab, and Valley Wagonworks
Clean title - ready to go
Pure joy on four black tires

She's clearly a very special vehicle and deserves a loving owner.
