71 Sunroof Baywindow Bus, great survivor 1776cc   Price: $5750
Update Sun 4/7... 1776cc longblock build on a 3 pt AE case with case savers and Scat C20 (slight bump up from stock) is done, picked it up this morning and have a set of dual kadrons to go with it. Bus it still priced at $5750 without motor, once the engine is installed and a runner (approx 2 weeks) price will go up accordingly.

In my opinion 71 is the most desirable year of the baywindow bus, 1st year for power assisted front disc brakes and the 1600 dual port doghouse, last year of the much more affordable type 1 motor. On top of that this the rare sunroof bus. Original color is Niagra blue with pastel white roof, see 2nd to last pic.

This bus has super solid bones, beauty is only skin deep and although this bus was cared for lovingly for many years it fell on hard times in later years, got a cheap partial respray, some scrapes on the side, and was generally neglected however its floors, undercarriage, and body are all rock solid. Front windshield was only partially installed, in later pics was easily removed to show condition of lower windshield frame. The maintenance record on the bus shows it hit 100k miles on 10/29/1987 and it currently shows 95,800 miles so I'm guessing thats 195,800. I can get a motor stuffed into into it to make it start/run drive for additional $ to make it cheaper to ship, ballpark estimate $3000 for solid running 1600 dual port. Not interested in lowball offers, Ill just keep it.

The Good
The undercarriage, fenderwells, and floors are in great shape
Middle seat, spare tire cover, complete front/rear bumpers, jack, front undercarriage splash plate, rear engine closeout panel, 3 point mustache bar, and many other details are all there
Clear WA title in my name, all VIN #s match (door jamb sticker, windshield tag, engine compartment, and M code plate)
New replacement sheet metal for nose and blank off panel (approx $500)
Super straight slider and driver doors included to replace existing ones
All interior panels are present and in great shape
Headliner is all there and in good shape, needs cleaning
Windshield frame is one of the best I have seen, see pics with front window removed
All doors and rear hatch open and shut with ease
I have some maintenance history showing the bus was well cared for in its early years

The Bad
No engine!
Bus has been hit in nose and scraped along sides
Needs a good cleanup
Dent along rear section of roof, not horrible and would probably pop out

Asking $6250, willing to consider REASONABLE offers and really on the fence about keeping it, popping in a motor, cleaning up the body, and making it a driver which would raise the price a substantial amount.
