1967 Convertible   Price: $19500
1967 VW bug convertible.

The 1967 bug is the most sought after year of all VW Bugs and is known as the “One-Year-Only” car. Although it looks the same to the untrained observer, the 67 had a number of features that were unique for that year to include: front and rear aprons, front fenders, decklid, doors, 1st year of the 12v electrical system, 2-speed wiper motor, reverse lights, sealed beam headlights, and the last year of the “old” body lines and bumpers. You still fill the gas tank by opening the front trunk and the fuel gage is mechanical. Also the last year for the metal dash and flat windshield. There are numerous other changes and single year only features to this car.

This car is has received extensive restoration, with a few projects left for someone who wants to work on these old cars. Although much of the work was done as the “Cali Look”, it could be refinished to an original car look. The list of new parts is extensive but includes beautiful blue Corvette paint, Porsche wheels, high intensity headlights, vinyl top with heavy headliner brand new front seats, Kenwood stereo, new carpet, new door panels, rebuilt 1835 dual-port – twin carb (Delkato or Webber ?) engine, tuck-under dual exhaust, oil cooler, and many other upgrades. The projects left include window regulators, door alignment wedges, hood adjustment, and down the road it will need new brakes.

This car runs well and drives well. It gets a lot of looks and has been entered in a number of small town car shows. The car is located just outside of Salem, Oregon and has been stored in a heated garage. Now is the perfect time to purchase a convertible and enjoy a long summer of top-down fun.
