1974 Twin Turbo Bus "The Rust Bus"   Price: $6000 OBO
First of all, I am not overly motivated to move this Bus on. I have a big project coming up in the next month and could use the $$$$ towards that project but hate to see this one go.
I pulled this 74 out of a field where it was left for dead almost 20 years ago. It looks like hell on wheels but is quite solid in actuality. The rust is surface and light body. The floors, frame and outriggers are all very nice. Most of the underbody has the original paint on it still.
The engine is an 1800 that had been rebuilt fairly close to the time it was parked. I had id running and driving after 40 minutes of messing with it. The engine does not leak a drop of oil and has good power. The transmission is an 003 automatic and functions perfectly.
I didn't think a Bus as ugly as this one should roll down the road with a stock engine so I built a Frankenstein twin turbo setup to match the look of the Bus. The setup is twin t-25s, blow through prepped 40 dells, CB Black box, single 38mm waste gate, single 35mm blow off, boost gauge and wideband 02 sensor and gauge.
The plan was to keep it automatic but switch to an 010. I am not selling any of my automatics or high stall torque converters with the project as we are using them in our new drag car build. The engine we were installing was a 2599. The Bus does need something with a bit more power as the stock 1800 cant even spool twins. I could only pull 1 pound of boost until I blocked off 1 turbo. It now builds as much as you would like. I have it set at 6 pounds which it loves.
This Bus fires up, and drives with no issues. The brakes are all brand new and function perfectly. There is a vacuum pump installed in the Bus as the brake booster would not function so well under boost! It is not per say ready to hit the road as it needs tires ( I have a set of Audi steel 15x6 wheels that were going to be used on this project that can go with it). The tuning is close but goes a touch lean off of throttle. I didn't put much time into the tuning as we were switching to our monster motor anyways.
I am sure there are some pics/videos on the Seward Speed Shop facebook page. I can also take more detailed pictures if needed.
