1966 VW Beetle very straight   Price: 2250
How about a nice straight 1966 bug project? Last year of the early style fenders. This bug has been sitting for years, maybe decades, waiting for you to come along and get it back on the road. The body is straight with a dusting of primer over some of it. It appears the previous owner started to disassemble and prep the car for paint. The aprons are as good as they get, nice and never crumpled. There isnít bodywork or Bondo under the primer, except on the decklid where they filled the license light holes - an easy thing to undo if you want. I donít have the stock steering wheel (do have a replacement turn signal switch) or the headlights and taillights or the bumpers. However, the seats and door panels are installed and most of the other pieces that were removed are inside in coffee cans. There are a few new parts included too. Youíll get a new gray loop carpet kit, 1/4 window cal-look rubber, and decklid standoff plates. Obviously the previous owner was going for the Cal-look. Other parts included are the door handles, the body trim, hood crest frame, the 1300 emblem and ďVolkswagen ď script, as examples. You will have a great project here. The good and bad is that, altogether quite straight, it will need final prep and paint. The battery tray is goners, so plan on some pan repair. There is also an odd 6 inch by 2 inch hole in the passenger rocker which will need rust repair l. Other that that there isnít a rust hole on the body that I could find. It really is exceptional. The original tarboard is still stuck to the floors. I installed a set of powder coated wheels with new tires to roll it around, you can have them for $250, which is what the powder coating cost, and youíll get the new tires for free. Otherwise, take the stock rims at asking price. Iím only looking for $2250, and for that youíll get a great project! Iíll accept layaway payments if that helps you by not having to pay for it all at once. You can collect it with the final payment. Let me know if you donít think that is fair we can discuss your offer. Help with shipping is no problem. Thanks for reading to the end. Good luck with your bug search!
