1973 Type II Bay Window Bus (Price Reduced!)   Price: $8000
This well running 1973 Bay Window Type II Bus was purchased by my grandfather around 1990. It has been garaged since. I took over ownership in 2016. Over the last three years I've put in many hours and many thousands of dollars in engine upgrades, not to mention many wonderful excursions. I took it on a 1 week, 1000-mile trip last year and had no issues. Starts and runs great. She passed Vermont vehicle inspection in June without needing a single thing, I honestly don't think I've ever had a car that did that!

91,508 original miles, all original glass, original front seats and rear seat (no middle seat). My grandfather built in a custom cabinet over the engine compartment as well as a center console between the front two seats. I added custom made screens for all the windows and doors as well as custom made curtains.

Over the last three years I've replaced: Distributor Cap, Spark Plugs & Wires, Distributor rotor, Nokian 6ply tires, Spare Tire Cover, engine compartment seal, front brakes, front & rear brake hoses, flushed & replaced brake fluid, fuel pump, front shocks, rear wheel cylinder, Starter Wire from starter to alternator, new alternator belt, new empi weber carburetor, new ignition switch, and quite a bit more.

The basket roof rack has been extended with a thule cross bar in the rear and a platform between which is designed for solar panels (panels not included).

Includes a colorful side tent that clips over side door. Tent is in good shape other than a few mouse chew holes repaired with awning repair tape.

Negatives: two small tears in ceiling (sealed over with awning repair tape) , and one in original back seat. White top paint in great shape though faded original yellow bottom half has tiny surface rust spots. They will easily sand/paint off I just haven't had time. There is a small rust hole in the driverís side step, but no other through and through rust. Rear bumper is missing one piece (see photo).

Iíve truly adored this bus and Iím sure you will too!
