25hp Zwitter Intake   Price: $375
Here is the very rare "Zwitter" intake that is thought to have followed the Jacketed K manifold. This one has some issues, but is definitely usable. The jacket is clearly cracked and opened up a bit. Not idea why. Thought about welding it up with aluminum wire and reshaping it (tried that once, didn't end well) but no time. There are also some pinhole perforations in the heat riser right next to the jacket. I am confident that there are no others as this whole intake was media blasted and is in bare metal.

If I had a zwitter and this was my only intake choice, I would fill the holes with JB Weld, grind, sand and paint. I have measured heat riser operating temperatures after "pedal on the floor" runs of over and hour, and the right side hot elbow hit 250F at the hottest. These pinholes are far away from that area, and JB Weld specs to 300F I think. I could have done that repair too but I'd rather sell something showing buyers exactly what it is. There is also only very low pressure in these riser when running too. Lastly, if concerned, you could run a block off plate between the flanges to keep things cool and quiet in the heat riser. Unless you drive a lot in cool, humid climates, you will not notice a difference in the way the engine runs with a blocked heat riser.

This is the real 25hp version of this intake. A version with 36hp endcastings does exist, probably from industrial or other VW models (I have one of these as well). These are real 25hp endcastings, not milled down 36hp ones.

*** Check my other ads, I have another one of these intakes that I am going to list shortly ***

I will supply a new gasket set with this intake.
