1968 Karmann Ghia. No Rust, never hit nose   Price: $10000.00
All right, here is a nice 1968 Karmann Ghia.

This is a nice complete car. Has everything on it.

Rebuilt front suspension, beam has adjusters, stock width beam.
New ball joints, new tie rod ends.

Swingaxle rear transmission, original to the car, works great.

Brakes have been redone front and back, work great.
New tires all around. Original 914 Mahle ďgas burnerĒ wheels.

The engine in this was built by Joel Mohr at Mohr performance.
This is one of his special engines, 72x85.5, 1654, made 120 hp, 100 torque.
Duel Weberís, A-1 step header exhaust. Oil sump. Electronic ignition.
8 pound flywheel, 35x32 valves. Heads were done by none other than Clyde Berg himself. Web 122 cam. This is a great trick little engine. This motor is great running, great performer. Likes the high RPM, but goes like a bat out of hell on take off too if your on it.
If you went to Joel for this engine right now would be $5000-$6000 alone people.

As you can see, has low back seats. These are not chopped down seats either, are original just not sure what year they are from. No locking backrest though, so should be from 66.

The nose of this car has never been hit.
There is no rust on this car. Pans are perfect. Rockers are perfect. I found no rust on this car when I bought it, and there still is no rust.

Car was hit on the driver side rear at one point in its life. You can tell from underneath, by the bumper mount. But it was not a huge hit at all. There is some bondo of course on the fender, but looking from the inside of engine compartment, in the wheel well, behind door panel, this was not a huge hit. Was all worked out very well, an older repair for sure. If I had to date it from what I know of this car, the owners and everything, itís at least a 20 year old fix.

Everything on the car works. Majority of parts are original. Even still has original windshield. Has a couple rock hits though, could be fixed Iím sure.

Now, if you have made it this far here is the story. I bought thIs car about 3-4 years ago from a good friend. Bought this, his bug and everything he had vw related.
He got cancer and was getting rid of everything, sold his house, got an apartment, and so on. He was more or less getting everything ready and done for his wife and son so when the time came everything was taken care of.
He is a very wise guy, he knows vw stuff very well, is a very meticulous kinda guy, very tedious on fixing stuff and whatnot too. He had this car for about 10 years, tinkering on it here and there, took the wheels off and had her on jack stands for most of the time. Car was always covered too.
I sold it to the current owner , and he has asked me to help him sell it for him.

Have the original stock wheels, hubcaps and beauty rings. Tires are good too.
Available for an extra $300.00

Also the complete original engine is available too. Engine runs great, and has all the original stuff on it too. Available for an extra $1200.00

Battery has been moved under the seat and the air cleaner pedestal was removed, currently the owner canít find it. But that is something available online if you wanted to put it back on the car.

Also, have the matching wheel for the spare. Just isnít painted to match this wheels on the car currently.

Have 2 of the 3 missing door trim pieces, no clips though.

Paint needs to be buffed out, or something. Will clean up though, aside from the primer spots.

The car needs to be seen to appreciate. This is at the moment a 3 person owned car, you can be number 4.

Clean and clear pink slip, currently registered, never put on the tag though, 2020 tags

Offering 3 options to buy the car.

1= The way the car sits right now as pictured, $10000.00

2= The car without the Porsche wheels, and without the duel carb engine,
Stock original wheels, tires and hubcaps installed, stock original engine installed.
NO Porsche wheels, NO big engine. $8500.00

3= The car as it sits right now, plus the stock wheels tires hubcaps and the complete
stock original engine. Esenctially the car with everything, $11000.00

Prices are firm. NO trades.

Please, no dumbasses, tire kickers or peanut gallery idiots.

Thank you, Eric

All of the items I sell are inspected for any damage, but these are used parts. I describe all parts as best as I can, and also do a lot of research on parts to make sure they will work on what I am posting, and even cross over to other cars., but please make sure the item will work for your needs. If an item is sand blasted I use glass bead . Feel free to ask questions, I have over 20 years experience. Delivery can be arranged for a price. I am always at the Pomona Swap Meet selling, so I can deliver there on show days no charge. Thanks, Eric

On large or oversized items, (doors, fenders, bumpers, body parts) yes I can ship them. Cheapest is almost always greyhound bus. But it is not cheap. Still needs to be boxed up or wrapped also. Expect at least $80.00 to ship that kind of stuff.

I now can accept credit cards for payment using Paypal here. Thanks

The USPS raised prices this year, 2016, Minimum shipping is going to be $7.00 for small flat rate boxes.
